Section 16: Removal of certain members of the Council.

1 Where it appears to the Council that a member, other than the Pro-Chancellor or the Vice-Chancellor, should be removed from office on grounds of misconduct or inability to perform the functions of his office, the Council shall make a recommendation to that effect through the Minister to the Federal Executive Council and if the Federal Executive Council, after making such enquiries as may be considered necessary, approves the recommendation, it may direct the removal of the member from office.

2 The Minister shall cause a copy of the instrument embodying a direction under subsection (1) to be served immediately on the person to whom it relates.
