Section 24: Pension provisions

Service in each College shall be approved service for the purposes of the Pension Reform Act and accordingly, officers and other persons employed in each College, except principal officers, shall, in respect of their services in the Colleges, be entitled to pensions, gratuities and other retirement benefits as prescribed in the Pension Reform Act, so however, that, nothing in this Act, shall prevent the appointment of a person to any office, on terms which precludes the grant of a pension and gratuity in respect of that office.
