Section 2: Establishment and composition of the Governing Board. Cap. C23, LFN, 2004.

(1) There is established for the Authority a Governing Board (in this Act referred to as "the Board") with the functions set out in this Act.
(2) The composition of the Board shall reflect equity and fairness as enshrined in section 14 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999.
(3) The Board shall consist of -
(a) a Chairman;
(b) one representative each, not below the rank of a director from the Ministries responsible for matters relating to -
(i) Aviation,
(ii) Defence,
(iii) Justice, and
(iv) Tourism;
(c) one representative of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology not below the rank of a director;
(d) two other persons outside the public service with requisite qualification and experience in the field of aviation; and
(e) the Managing Director of the Authority.
(4) The Supplementary Provisions set out in the Second Schedule to this Act, shall have effect with respect to proceedings of the Board and any other matter contained in it. [Second Schedule]
