Section 40: Repeals and savings.

(1) The Acts mentioned in the Fifth Schedule are hereby repealed to the extent therein mentioned.
(2) It is hereby declared that without limiting the provisions of the Interpretation Act the repeal or revocation of any provision by this Act shall not affect any document made or anything whatsoever done under the provision so repealed or revoked or under any corresponding former provision, and every order, requirement, certificate, notice, direction, decision, authorisation, consent, application, request or thing made, issued, given or done under any enactment repealed by this Act shall, if in force at the commencement of this Act, and so far as it could have been made, issued, given or done under this Act, continue in force and have effect as if made, issued, given or done under the corresponding provision of this Act.
