Section 89: Contribution rates for rural electrification.

(1) To the extent required by the Rural Electrification Strategy and Plan and to cover any shortfall in the capital and assets of the Rural Electrification Fund, the Commission may determine the contribution rates to be sent to the Rural Electrification Fund by :
(a) eligible customers; and
(b) licensees as may be determined by the Commission.
(2) The Commission, while determining the contribution rates, shall take into consideration the impact of such rates on eligible customers and licensees who have to assume the burden of such contributions.
