Section 7: Registrar and employees of the Board

(1) The Board shall appoint a fit and proper registered person, or in the case of the first Registrar, he is eligible for registration to be the Registrar for the purposes of this Act.
(2)
The Registrar shall, in addition to his other functions under this Act, be the secretary to the Board and shall on the instructions of the chairman of the Board or of any committee of the Board convene meetings of the Board or of any committee of the Board and shall keep minutes of the proceedings of all the meetings.
(3)
The Board may appoint such other persons to be employees of the Board as the Board may determine to assist the Registrar in the performance of his functions under this Act.
(4) The Board may, whenever the Registrar is absent or is for any other reason unable to discharge the functions of his office, appoint an acting Registrar to discharge those functions.
(5) The Registrar and other employees of the Board shall hold office on such terms and conditions as the Board may, with the approval of the Minister, determine.
