Section 13: Appointment not to be held by unregistered persons

(1)
Subject to the provisions of this Act, no person, not being registered on the register, shall be entitled to hold an appointment in the civil service of the Federation or of a State or in a public or private establishment, body or institution, if the holding of the appointment involves the performance by him in Nigeria of an act pertaining to the profession for gain.
(2)
Nothing in this section or in any other provision of this Part of this Act shall prevent a person from holding an appointment referred to in subsection (1) of this section while he is undergoing training for the purpose of becoming qualified for registration under this Act and the training is done under the supervision of a person who is registered under this Act.
