CYBERCRIMES (PROHIBITION, PREVENTION, ETC) AMENDMENT ACT, 2024
Section 32: Phishing, spamming, spreading of computer virus
1 A person who knowingly or intentionally engages in computer phishing shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term 3 years or a fine of =N1,000,000.00 or both.
2 A person who engages in spamming with intent to disrupt the operations of a computer, be it public or private or financial institutions, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of 3 years or a fine of =N1,000,000.00 or both.
3 A person who, engages in malicious or deliberate spread of viruses or any malware thereby causing damage to critical information in public, private or financial institution's computers commits of an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of 3 years or a fine of =N1,000,000.00 or both.
