Section 3: Establishment of the National Council on Climate Change.

(1) There is established the National Council on Climate Change (in this Act referred to as "The Council"), which shall be vested with powers to make policies and decisions on all matters concerning climate change in Nigeria.
(2) The Council-
(a) shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal; and
(b) may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
(3) The affixing of the seal of the Council shall be authenticated by the Chairman of the Council.
(4) The Council shall pay to its members such allowances, as may be determined by the Salaries and Wages Commission.
