Section 9: Powers of the Secretariat.

In performing its functions under this Act, the Secretariat shall have powers, subject to the approval of the Council, to-(a) request reports, data, document or any information necessary for the performance of its functions under this Act;
(b) establish and manage a national registry for capturing mitigation and adaptation actions by public and private entities;
(c) mobilise financial resources to support climate change actions;
(d) visit the premises of N'DAs, and private and public entities for the purposes of monitoring, verifying and reporting of emission profile or the collection of any other data necessary to undertake the functions and duties prescribed in this Act; and
(e) do other things, as may be approved by the Council.
