Section 40: Power to Act as agent for Federal, State or Local Governments.
The Bank may act generally as agent for the Federal Government, State Governments, or Local Governments-(a) where the Bank can do so appropriately and consistently with the provisions of this Act and with its duties and functions as a Central Bank; and
(b) on such terms and conditions as may be agreed between the Bank and the Government concerned.
