Section 15: Removal of certain members of Council

(1) If it appears to the Council that a member of the Council (other than the Pro-Chancellor, or the Vice-Chancellor) should be removed from office on the ground of misconduct or inability to perform the functions of his office or employment, the Council shall make a recommendation to that effect through the Chancellor to the Visitor, and if the Visitor, after making such enquiries (if any) as he considers appropriate, approves the recommendation he may, by an instrument in writing signed by him, remove the person
in question from office.
(2) It shall be the duty of the Visitor, on signing an instrument of removal in pursuance of this section, to use his best endeavours to cause a copy of the instrument to be served as soon as reasonably practicable on the person to whom it relates.
