Section 20: Compulsory acquisition of land

For the purposes of the Land Use Act (which provided for the compulsory acquisition of land for public purposes) the purposes of the University shall be public purposes of the Federation; and where an estate or interest in land is acquired by the Federal Government in pursuance of this section, the Federal Government may, by a certificate under hand and seal of the Registrar of Deeds, transfer it to the University or to any college of the University.
