Section 19: Removal of examiners
(1) If it appears to the Vice-Chancellor that a person appointed as an examiner for any examination of the University ought to be removed from his office or appointment, then, except in such cases as may be prescribed, he may, after affording to the examiner an opportunity of making representations in person on the matter to the Vice-Chancellor, remove the examiner from the appointment by an instrument in writing signed by the Vice-Chancellor, and, subject to the provisions of regulations made in pursuance of section 8 (5) of this Act, the Vice-Chancellor may appoint an appropriate person as examiner in the place of the examiner removed in pursuance of this subsection.
(2) It shall be the duty of the Vice-Chancellor, on signing an instrument of removal in pursuance of this section, to use his best endeavours to cause a copy of the instrument to be served as soon as reasonably practicable on the person to whom it relates.
