Section 19: Membership of persons under twenty one years of age.

(1) A person under the age of sixteen shall not be capable of being a member of a trade union, and a person under the age of twenty-one shall not be capable of being an officer of the trade union.
(2) A person of or above the age of sixteen but under the age of 21 may be a member of a trade union unless the rules of the union provide otherwise, and, subject to subsection (1) of this section, and to the rules of the union, may enjoy all the rights of a member and may effectually sign any agreement or other document and give any receipt which may be required to be signed or given by the rules of the union for the purposes of this Act or the Regulations.
