STUDENTS' UNION ACTIVITIES (CONTROL AND REGULATION) ACT
Section 5: Offences and penalties
(1) Any person who fails to comply with the provisions of section 1, 2 or 4 of this Act shall be guilty of an offence under this Act.
(2) Any person, whether or not a student of a university, institution of higher learning or similar institution, who aids, abets or participates in the violation of or non-compliance with any of the provisions of this Act, shall be guilty of an offence under this Act.
(3)
Any student or person who commits an offence under this Act shall be tried by the High Court of the State concerned.

(4) Any person convicted of an offence under this Act shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding N50,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both such fine and imprisonment.
