Section 14: Prohibition of falsely professing to be a registered person

(1) Any person, not being registered on any register maintained under section 8 of this Act, who holds himself out to be so registered or uses any name, title, description or symbol, calculated to lead any person to infer that he is so registered, shall be guilty of an offence.
(2) Any person convicted of an offence under subsection (1) of this section shall be liable for a first offence to a fine of not less than N100 or more than N200 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both such fine and imprisonment and on conviction for a second or any subsequent offence to imprisonment for a term of not less than one year or more than three years, without an option of a fine.
