A reference in any enactment (apart from this Act, the Minerals Act, the Factories Act and the Criminal Code) to a mine or mining operation shall be construed, unless it is otherwise expressly provided or the context otherwise requires, as including a reference to a quarry or quarrying operation and effect shall be given to any such enactment with any necessary modifications.
