Section 10: Tenure of office of members of the Council

Subject to the provisions of this Act, a member of the Council, other than an ex-officio member-(a) shall hold office for a term of four years in the first instance and may be reappointed for a further term of four years and no more; and
(b) on such terms and conditions as may be specified in his letter of appointment.
