Section 17: Offence in relation to samples As Amended by Section 6 of the PRODUCE (ENFORCEMENT OF EXPORT STANDARDS) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2016.

Any person authorised to take samples of produce under the provisions of this Act, who employs or disposes of such samples or any part thereof for his own gain or use or for any purpose other than that for which provision is made under any written law, shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine of N30,000 or to imprisonment for one year, or to both such fine and imprisonment.
