Section 2: Power to require oil companies to register.

(1) The controller may in writing direct oil companies transacting business in Nigeria to register with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, and such oil companies shall register accordingly.
(2) A director under this section may prescribe the information to be furnished to the controller at the time of registration and the direction may specify the form in and on which such information is to be supplied.
(3) Failure to comply with a direction to register or to supply the information, as the case may be, shall be an offence under this Act.
