Section 26: Deviation in respect of land required for public purpose.

It shall be lawful for the Minister to require deviation of the route of an oil pipeline so far as it affects any land for a public purpose by the Government of the Federation or the Government of a State upon such terms as to compensation, or otherwise, as shall be agreed with the holder, or failing such agreement, as may be arrived at by arbitration.
