Section 9: Broadcasting of matters

Without prejudice to the generality of section 6 of this Act, the Authority shall provide such facilities as may appear to the Authority to be desirable in the public interest for the broadcasting of-(a) ministerial speeches, that is any speeches of the members of the National Assembly, Council of State, the President, Vice-President and the Ministers of the Government of the Federation or members of the House of Assembly, the Governor and Deputy Governor and Commissioners of a State which consist wholly of statements of fact or which explain the policy and actions of the Government concerned; and
(b) matters of any kind (including religious services or ceremonies) relating to or representing the main streams of religious thought or belief in Nigeria.
