Section 33: Restriction on the erection, etc., of piers

(1)
No person shall erect, re-erect, alter, extend, own or occupy a pier in a port or in the approach to a port, except under and in accordance with a license granted by the Authority.
(2)
A person who contravenes any of the provisions of sub-section (1) of this section, is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding N5,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding twelve months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
