Section 25: Restrictions on alienation of land

1999Section 25 of 128Federal Republic of Nigeria

(1) The Authority shall not, without the approval in writing of the President, alienate, mortgage, charge or lease any immovable property which has been vested in the Authority or in respect of which a right of occupancy has been granted to the Authority.
(2)
Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, the Authority may alienate, charge or mortgage any immovable property for a period not exceeding five years and may terminate, revoke or release any mortgage of, charge on or lease of any immovable property vested in it.
