Section 144: Scientific specimen.

(1) Whenever any mineral is exported solely for the purpose of analysis or experiment or as a scientific specimen, the certificate shall be forwarded to the Minister and the person exporting the sample shall obtain a certificate of the result of analysis of the sample and deliver, within six months of the exports of the sample, a true copy of the certificate to the Minister.
(2) A person who fails to comply with the provisions of this section commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of not more than N100,000.00 and not less than N50,000.00.
