Section 32: Establishment of a pool of dock workers and seafarers

There is established a pool for dock workers and seafarers (in this Act referred to as "the Pool") outside the port or vessel which shall consist of the following categories-(a) in the case of dock workers-
(i) general labour,
(ii) tally clerks,
(iii) security men,
(iv) winch men,
(v) roll-on-roll-of drives, and
(vi) plant operators,
(b) in the case of seafarers-
(i) deck officers,
(ii) engine room officers,
(iii) catering officers, and
(iv) all ratings.
