Section 1: Establishment of the Nigeria Council for Social Work.

(1) There is established the Nigerian Council for Social Work (in this Act referred to as "the Council") which shall regulate the practice of professional social work in Nigeria.
(2) The Council -
(a) shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal; and
(b) may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
