Section 1: Establishment of the Nigerian Airports Authority

(1) There shall be established a body by the name of the Nigerian Airports Authority (in this Act hereafter referred to as "the Authority") which shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal, and may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
(2) As from the appointed day, there shall be transferred to the Authority all the airports maintained by the Minister pursuant to section 6 of the Civil Aviation Act and the Authority shall maintain and manage those airports and any other airport provided or acquired by the Minister pursuant to that Act.
