NIGERIA SECURITY AND CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS ACT
Section 27: Directives by the Minister, etc.
(1) The Minister may give to the Corps or the Commandant-General such directives-
(a) of a general nature or relating generally to matters of policy with regard to the exercise of its functions; or
(b)
with respect to the maintenance and securing of public safety and order, as he may consider necessary, and the Corps or the Commandant-General shall comply with the directives or cause them to be complied with.
(2)
Subject to the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, a Governor of a State may give to a State Commandant such directives with respect to the maintenance and securing of public safety and order in the State as he may consider necessary and it shall be the duty of the State Commandant to comply with the directives or cause them to be complied with.
