Section 59: Examination of goods at examination bay

1 subject to the provisions of this Act, the Service may at any time require goods to be unloaded and unpacked at designated examination bays for the purpose of examining the goods, taking of samples or examining the means of transport carrying the goods.

2 Goods presented to the Service shall not be removed from the place where they have been presented for examination without the permission of the Service.

3 Non-intrusive inspection equipment shall be provided by the terminal operator or warehouse operator to facilitate clearance of goods.
