NATIONAL SALARIES, INCOMES AND WAGES COMMISSION ACT
Section 2: Membership of the Commission
(1) The Commission shall comprise a chairman who shall be the chief executive of the Commission and the following other members, that is-
(a) three full time Commissioners;
(b) the Permanent-Secretary, Office of Establishments and Management Services of the Presidency;
(c) the Permanent-Secretary, Federal Ministry of Employment, Labour and Productivity;
(d) one representative of the Nigerian Employer's Consultative Association;
(e) one representative of the Nigeria Labour Congress; and
(f) four other persons of proven integrity and relevant expertise.
(2) The chairman and members of the Commission shall be appointed by the President.
(3) A member of the Commission shall, subject to the provisions of this Act hold office for a period of five years from the date of his appointment as a member and shall be eligible for re-appointment for a further term of five years and no more.
(4) The supplementary provisions contained in the Schedule to this Act shall have effect with respect to the proceedings of the Commission and the other matters therein mentioned.
