Section 41: Allowances to witnesses.

2006Section 41 of 55Federal Republic of Nigeria

(1) The Court may, in any matter, order and allow to all persons required to attend, or to be examined as witnesses, such sum or sums of money as may be specified by Rules of Court for defraying the reasonable expenses of such witnesses and for allowing them a reasonable compensation for their trouble and loss of time.
(2) No person may refuse to attend as a witness, or give evidence when so required by process of the Court, on the ground that his expenses have not been first paid or provided for.
