Section 3: Designating a Central Authority, etc.

(1) For the purposes of this Act, the President may by an order published in the Federal Gazette designate any person as the Central Authority or competent authority for Nigeria for the purposes of this Act.
(2) Accordingly-
(a) all requests from Nigeria to any other country in the Commonwealth; and
(b) all requests to Nigeria from any other Commonwealth country,
concerning any assistance to which section 2 (3) of this Act relates, shall be channelled through the person or authority designated for the purposes of this Act.
