Section 317: Bulk Cargo Regulations

The Minister may make regulations relating to-
(a)
the safe carriage and stowage of bulk cargoes having due regard to the Code of Safety Practice for Bulk Cargoes, issued by the International Maritime Organisation and any amendments to the Code or replacements of the Code;
(b)
the safe carriage and stowage of grain in compliance with the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 and any amendments to the Convention or replacements of the Convention as they come into force for Nigeria.
