Section 19: Entitlement to practice, etc

(1) A registered librarian shall (but to the extent only of his particular qualifications) be entitled to practice as a librarian throughout the Federation.

It shall be the duty of the person in charge of each university or other institution of higher learning in Nigeria having a faculty by whatever name called, at which there is held a course of training intended for persons who are seeking to become registered librarians under this Act, to furnish to the registrar, not later than the 31st day of March in each year, a list of the names and such other particulars as the Council may specify, of all persons who attended any such courses at the institution in question at any time during the last preceding year.
