Section 5: Service to the Council to be pensionable.

(1) The provisions of the Pension Reform Act shall apply to the Director-General and other members of staff of the Council in the same manner as it applies to persons holding equivalent grades in the public service of the Federation.
(2) Nothing in this section shall be construed as preventing the appointment of a person to any office in the Council on terms, which preclude the grant of a pension and gratuity in respect of that office.
