2011Section 36 of 50•Federal Republic of Nigeria
Where the claim is based on documentary evidence and the defendant does not file a defence or appear at the trial
and does not defend the claim, the Magistrate shall be entitled to adjudicate upon the claim in Chambers but shall
give judgment in open Court.
