Section 109: Restriction on legal proceedings against the Service
(1)
No civil action shall be commenced against the Service, or its authorised officers before the expiration of a period of 30 days after a written notice of intention to commence the suit shall have been served on the Service by the intending plaintiff or his agent, and the notice shall clearly state the-
(a) cause of action ;
(b) particulars of the claim ;
(c) name of the plaintiff;
(d) name and office address of the intending plaintiff's counsel ; and
(e) relief which he claims.
(2)
The notice referred to in sub-section (1) of this Section and any summons, or other documents required or authorised to be served on the service under this Act or any other enactment or law, may be served by-
(a) delivering it to the Headquarters of the Service ; or
(b) sending it by registered post addressed to the Service Headquarters.
