Section 101: Protection of Information, Informants and Witnesses.

(1)
Where a person volunteers to the Service or an official of the Service any information which may be useful in the investigation or prosecution of an offence under this Act or any other relevant law, the Service shall take all reasonable measures to protect the identity of that person and the information so volunteered shall be treated as confidential.
(2)
In any criminal trial undertaken for the prosecution of any offence created under this Act or any other relevant law, any witness for the prosecution, and wherever necessary, members of his family shall be put under an appropriate witness protection programme which may be necessary for the protection of his life and safety, and the protection of life and safety of members of his family.
