FORFEITURE OF PROPERTY (8 OKOTIE-EBOH STREET, SOUTH-WEST IKOYI) ACT
Section 2: Delivery of possession of premises, etc. and penalty.
(1) Any person in possession of the property to which this Act applies, or any portion of such property, shall within 14 days of the making of this Act, deliver up vacant possession of such property to the Chief Federal Lands Officer or any person authorised in that behalf by the Chief Federal Lands Officer to take possession of the said property.
(2) Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with the provisions of subsection (1) of this section shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction-
(a) in the case of an individual, to imprisonment for 5 years without the option of a fine; and
(b)
in the case of a body corporate, to a fine of not less than N5,000.00; and in the case of a continuing offence by a body corporate, to a fine of not less than N500.00 for each day on which the offence continues to be committed.
