Section 20: Exclusion of discrimination.

1 A person shall not be required to satisfy requirements as to race, including ethnic grouping, sex, place of birth, family origin, religious o]. political persuasion, as a condition for becoming or continuing to be a-
a student in the University;
b holder of any degree, appointment or employment in the University; or
c member of anybody established by virtue of this Act.

2 A person shall not be subjected to any disadvantage or accorded any advantage in relation to the University by reference to any of the matters referred to in subsection (1).

3 Nothing in subsection (1) shall be constructed as preventing the University from Imposing any disability or restriction on any of the persons specified in subsection (1) where such persons willfully refuse or fail on grounds of religious belief to undertake any duty generally and uniformly imposed on all the persons or any group of persons which duty, having regard to its nature and the special circumstances, is in the opinion of the University reasonably justifiable in the national interest.
