Section 28: Savings and transitional provisions.

1 The statutory functions, rights, interests, obligations, liabilities and properties of the Federal College of Education, Kontagora, existing before the commencement of this Act under any contract, instrument, or in law or in equity, shall by virtue of this Act be deemed to have been assigned to and vested in the University established under this Act to the extent that they are not inconsistent with any of the provisions of this Act.

2 All property held by or on behalf of the Provisional Council of the University shall, by virtue of this sub-section and without further assurance, vest in the University and be held by it for the purpose of the University.

3 The provisions of the Second Schedule to this Act shall have effect with respect to, and to matters arising from, the transfer of property by this section and with respect to the other matters mentioned in that Schedule.
