Section 21: Retirement age of academic staff.

1 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Pension Reform Act, the compulsory retirement age of an academic staff in the professional cadre or a University shall be 70 years, and other academic staff is 65 years.

2 A law or rule requiring a person to retire from the public service after serving for 35 years or 65 years whichever comes first shall not apply to an academic staff of the University.
