Section 8: Power of the Board

The Board shall have power to-
a provide the general policies and guidelines relating to major expansion programmes of the Medical Centre;
b provide facilities for the training of medical students of associate universities;
c manage and superintend the affairs of the Medical Centre;
d subject to the provisions of this Act, make, alter and revoke rules and regulations for the performance of the functions of the Medical Centre;
e fix terms and conditions of service, including remuneration of the employees of the Medical Centre subject to the approval of National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission; and
f do other things which in the opinion of the Board are necessary to ensure the efficient performance of the functions of the Medical Centre.
