Section 1: Short title etc.

(1) This Act may be cited as the Exchange Control Act, and shall apply throughout the Federation.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Minister by notice in the Federal Gazette and different days may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.
