Section 15: Theft of electronic devices

1 A person who steals a financial institution or Public Infrastructure Terminal commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of 3 years or a fine of =N1,000,000.00 or both.

2 A person who steals an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than 7 years or a fine of not more than =N10,000,000,00 or both and all proceeds of such theft shall be forfeited to the lawful owners of the ATM.

3 A person who attempts to steal an ATM, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than 1 year or a fine of not more than =N1,000,000.00 or both.
