Section 40: Legal obligation to give information.

Subject to such limitation as is provided under this Act every person required by an officer of the Commission to give any information on any subject which it is the duty of such officer to inquire into under this Act and which it is in that person's statutory power to give, shall be legally bound to give information, failing which he shall be guilty of an offence on conviction liable to imprisonment for six (6) months or a fine of (N10,000.00) ten thousand naira.
