Section 31: Duty of care

Any person who, being a director, secretary or an officer of a bank, fails to take all reasonable care to secure-(a) compliance with the provisions of this Act; or
(b)
the authenticity of any statements submitted pursuant to the provisions of this Act,
commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding N2,000 or to both such imprisonment and fine.
