Section 1: Establishment of the Chartered Institute of Social Work Practitioners.

(1) There is established the Institute of Social Work Practitioners (in this Act referred to as "the Institute").
(2) The Institute-
(a) is body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal;
(b) may sue and be sued in its corporate name; and
(c) may, subject to the Land Use Act, acquire, hold and dispose of any property, movable or immovable. [Cap. L5, LFN, 2004.]
